Stop Chasing Approval: You’re Already Enough

Mar 27, 2025

A recent viral clip showed a heartfelt exchange between a mother and daughter. The daughter, through tears, thanked her mom for finally believing in her. The mom, also emotional, said, “If I could choose anyone in the world to be my daughter, I’d choose you.”

Thousands of comments rolled in:
“This healed something in me.”
“This is what love looks like.”
“I wish I had this.”

But behind the emotion, I couldn’t help but see something deeper—and more painful.

Love Based on Performance Isn’t Love That Heals

The daughter only felt chosen after she succeeded.
The mother only verbalized her love after that success.

That’s not unconditional love. That’s conditional validation.

And that’s what the world has taught us:
“Make them proud.”
"Prove them wrong.”
“Take your power back by being impressive.”

But here’s the trap—if your worth depends on applause, you’ll always be performing.

God’s Love Doesn’t Work That Way

Isaiah 43:1 – “I have called you by name. You are mine.”

Not because you hit a goal.
Not because you earned it.
Not because someone finally saw your value.

God’s love says:
“You were enough before you achieved anything.”

This is what sets biblical truth apart from worldly trends.

The Identity Shift That Changes Everything

When you stop chasing validation, you start living in freedom.
When you know who you are and whose you are, you stop:

Performing for love
Doubting your worth
Living for applause

And you start:

Walking in purpose
Overflowing with peace
Living from love—not for it

So, What Now?

Let this be your moment.
Let this be the day you stop performing.
Let this be the moment you realize: You’re not here to earn love. You’re here to live from it.

You were chosen.
You are enough.
You belong—no applause required.
