Get Unstuck: Why Moving Alone Isn’t Enough—You Need Purpose
Apr 17, 2025
“You’re stuck—just move!”
That’s the world’s advice. And Mel Robbins’ 5-4-3-2-1 method has helped many people take action in the moment. But here’s the truth:
You don’t need more movement. You need more mission.
Movement Without Direction Still Leaves You Lost
You can go for a walk. Try something new. Take a random step. But unless you’re moving toward something with purpose, it’s just more spinning.
Purpose is what gets you unstuck for good.
“Your gift will make room for you…” – Proverbs 18:16
You weren’t created to hustle randomly. You were created to move in purpose. And that starts with discovering your God-given niche.
Step 1: Ask God for Help
Even if you’re unsure what you believe, just ask:
God, what part of me are You trying to grow in this season? What do You want me to see?
Stuck isn’t a punishment—it’s preparation.
Step 2: Find Your Niche
What comes naturally to you that others notice or appreciate?
What lights you up inside when you talk about it?
That’s not random. That’s God-designed. And your breakthrough might be on the other side of using that gift to serve others.
Step 3: Move—But Move in Purpose
Yes, move. But not just to feel better. Move toward impact.
Small ways to move in purpose:
- Text someone encouragement
- Give generously or tip big
- Hold a door. Smile. Compliment someone.
- Offer help. Serve without being asked.
- Pray for someone.
When you pour out, God pours back.
Step 4: Follow the Breadcrumbs
You don’t need the full roadmap. Just take the next step.
Obey the nudge. Send the message. Say the prayer. Let go of what’s draining you. Embrace what’s pulling you into more.
When you look up, you won’t even feel stuck anymore. You’ll be in motion—with mission.
