Dream Again: Unleashing Your God-Given Purpose
Feb 28, 2025
Have you ever felt like your dreams were buried under years of doubt, fear, and expectations? Maybe at one point in your life, you had big, bold dreams—dreams that made you feel alive and excited. But somewhere along the way, life happened. Responsibilities piled up, voices of doubt crept in, and you started believing the lie that dreaming was for other people, not for you.
But what if those dreams weren’t meant to be forgotten? What if they were placed in your heart for a reason?
The Shift: From Worldly Dreams to God-Given Purpose
The world tells us to chase success, wealth, and status—yet so many who reach these heights still feel empty. Why? Because real fulfillment doesn’t come from what we get; it comes from what we give. Proverbs 11:25 reminds us, “A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed.”
Your dreams were never meant to be just about you. True, God-sized dreams will always lead you to serve others, to make an impact beyond yourself. When you align your dreams with God’s blueprint instead of the world’s, that’s when you truly start living.
Breaking Free from Limitations
At some point, someone may have told you not to dream big. Maybe they were afraid you’d get hurt, so they encouraged you to play it safe. But shrinking your dreams doesn’t serve you—it only keeps you stuck.
The truth is, you are not your past. You are not your limitations. You are who God says you are. And when you start believing that, everything shifts.
So, let’s pause and ask the important questions:
- If fear wasn’t a factor, what would you dream of doing?
- What has God placed in your heart that you’ve been afraid to pursue?
- Are you willing to ask Him for guidance and step into His greater plan?
The 4 Tests of a God-Given Dream
Want to know if your dream is from God? Here’s how to test it:
1️⃣ Have you asked Him? If you never seek His guidance, how can you be sure you’re on the right path?
2️⃣ Does it align with His Word? God will never lead you to something that contradicts His truth.
3️⃣ Does it require faith? If your dream can be achieved in your own strength, it’s probably not big enough.
4️⃣ Does it serve others? God’s plans always involve lifting up others, not just ourselves.
It’s Time to Dream Again
If you’ve been feeling stuck, uninspired, or unsure of your purpose, it’s time to break free. Take a moment to sit with these questions, pray over them, and give yourself permission to dream again.
Because the life you long for isn’t out of reach. It’s waiting for you to step into it.
